The Unseen Connection: Recognizing and Trusting Your Intuitive Nature

Human beings are all apart of an interconnected web or an intuitive connection.
Last week, we touched on the web of connections that vibrates across time and space. If you missed that blog, go here to check it out and then come back and read this one.
Last week, there was also a death in my family, and this idea of the invisible web that connects us all was reinforced.
That weekend, I was offering 3 events at my home. They were all in the same vein – healing, community, and meditation – but each was different, too. (I did this so people coming from out of town would have an entire weekend of opportunities. One came from New York!)
I collaborated with a friend to do something completely new – Balance, Light & Radiance: An Equinox Meditation and Paint Retreat on Saturday. It promised to be so much fun! And it was!
At the same time, I found my energy bogging down in the afternoon. I felt antsy and wanted a break. I stepped outside and called my husband. Then I went back in and lifted my brush to paint clouds.
A strong but indescribable feeling came over me. An intuitive connection or knowing.
It stopped me in my tracks. I literally could not put the brush on the canvas. I had to step outside again. I went to the other side of the house and shook my arms and body just to release the feeling.
I went back inside and finished my painting – yay! But I felt distracted and disoriented for the rest of the afternoon and chalked it up to heat.
A couple of hours later, I found out that Barbara died quite unexpectedly, but peacefully, while taking a nap. While the exact time is uncertain, it turned out to be about the time that I had those strong feelings come over me.
If you think about it, I bet you’ve had similar experiences. And while death makes a dramatic story, you can also respond to happiness and good events as well, like thinking of someone who then calls you out of the blue or sensing that a new baby is on the way!
Have you sensed something about a loved one or felt that something might happen, and it did?
If so, try this less-than-3-minute tiny, but mighty practice to try:
Open to the possibility that you are more intuitive than you think. Pay attention. When you’re with someone, notice how often you think of someone or something, and they talk about it, or vice versa. You’ll be amazed at how often this happens, especially among couples, good friends, and others to whom we feel bonded.
Tuning into the Unseen: 5 Signs of Intuitive Connection
As I reflected on my experience with Barbara's passing, I realized that we've all had moments where we've felt an unexplainable connection to others. Here are 5 signs that you've experienced an intuitive connection:
Unprompted Thoughts: Have you ever thought of someone out of the blue, only to have them call or message you shortly after?
Synchronistic Encounters: Do you often meet someone or experience something that seems like more than just a coincidence?
Emotional Resonance: Have you felt a strong emotional response to an event or situation, even if you weren't directly involved?
Physical Sensations: Have you experienced physical sensations, like goosebumps or a lump in your throat, when thinking of someone or something?
Premonitions or Intuitions: Have you had moments where you sensed something was going to happen, and it did?
Developing Your Intuition: How to Trust Your Inner Wisdom
If you've experienced any of these signs, you're already tuned into the invisible web that connects us all. To deepen your connection and trust your intuition:
Pay Attention: Notice when these moments occur and how they make you feel.
Trust Your Gut: Honor your initial reactions, even if logic doesn't support them.
Stay Open: Remain receptive to subtle messages and nudges.
Reflect and Journal: Record your experiences to identify patterns and themes.
Trust the Web: Recognize that you're part of a larger, interconnected whole.
As you deepen your trust in your intuition, may you discover the profound sense of belonging that arises from knowing we are all interconnected. May this awareness fill your heart with compassion, your relationships with empathy, and your life with meaning.
Waving at you from a beautiful fall nature walk,
Eka
